AI can dramatically improve a job advert — making it clearer, more inclusive and more findable — while you keep control of the content. Here's how to use it well.
What AI does well for job adverts
- Suggests a clear, keyword-rich title.
- Structures responsibilities and requirements.
- Balances tone for inclusivity.
- Adds location + salary naturally (key for SEO).
- Generates a concise overview.
A practical workflow
- Note the role, location, hours, pay and must-haves.
- Ask AI for a draft using a structured prompt.
- Edit facts, tighten language, remove hype.
- Keep it 300–700 words.
- Post on JobsIrish.ie — structured data is handled for you.
Prompt template
"Write a job advert for a [role] in [town], Ireland. [full-time/part-time]. Include overview, responsibilities, requirements, benefits and how to apply. Plain, inclusive English, under 600 words. Mention the town and salary range naturally."
What AI should NOT decide
- Salary (you set it; AI suggests ranges only).
- Legal/compliance wording — verify for your sector.
- Fabricated benefits.
- Internal-only jargon.
